Susan Sandoval, 48, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, in the city she called home. Born on August 23, 1976, in Corpus Christi, Susan embraced a life rooted in faith, family and service to others. A proud graduate of Moody High School in 1994, Susan pursued her passion for education and earned her degree from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi in 2020.
She devoted her career to teaching elementary school children, a calling she fulfilled with unwavering dedication and love. Her students were her inspiration, and she worked tirelessly to nurture their growth and potential. Susan's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a devoted member of Lord is Peace Church, she found spiritual fulfillment and joy in serving her community.
After being baptized, Susan embraced God's love wholeheartedly and shared it through teaching Sunday school, guiding children on their spiritual journeys with compassion and care. Despite facing health challenges throughout her life, Susan remained a source of light and positivity. Her warm smile and heartfelt "I love you" were gifts she freely gave to all who crossed her path. Her resilience and kindness left and enduring impact on those who knew her.
Susan is survived by her parents, Richard and Susan Vera Sandoval; siblings Richard, Jr., Leticia, Raul and Abel, eleven nieces and nephew-Jazman , Jullian, Jonathan Gonzalez, Raul, Jr., Rene, Sierra, Ramsey Sandoval; Addison, Benjamin, Harrison Sandoval; Angela Sandoval and one great nieces, Emma Grace which was very special to her. She also leaves behind her grandmother Dora de Luna; aunts, Veronica Vera and Linda (Chris) Cavazos; uncle Joe (Julia) Vera; and many cherished cousins. She was preceded in death by uncles Eric and Roland Vera.
Susan's legacy of faith, resilence, and love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those she touch.
Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Guardian funeral home.
