Cruz Gonzales Cordova, 75, of Woodsboro, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2023.
He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 3, 1947 and lived there the majority
of his life. He attended Tuloso-Midway High School, but left his Sophomore year
to join the Army. He proudly served his country as a Paratrooper stationed in
Panama. He married and had two children, Cruz and Glenda. He loved the
outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time at his cabin on the river with his
family. He was employed as an engine mechanic at Corpus Christi Army Depot
before retiring.
Cruz was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Crecencia Cordova. He is
survived by his life partner, Margaret Perez, son Cruz Cordova Jr (Tina), daughter
Glenda Esquivel (Peter), and stepson John Mikulec Jr. He is also survived by his
brother Manuel Cordova (Linda), and sisters Virginia Aleman (Rudy), and Chris
Nunez (Joe). Also surviving are his seven grandchildren Steven, Anissa, Josh,
Jared, Madison, Mareena, and Matthew, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Public visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Service to begin at 12:00 noon.

Burial will be at a later date on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery, 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd.
