Obituary

Yolanda 'Nana' Quintanilla of Corpus Christi, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, in her home due to a long battle with cancer.

Yolanda was born January 8, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was also a long time resident of Lake Jackson before moving back to Corpus Christi. She worked in the medical field as an RN and was highly respected by all who worked with her. Yolanda had the biggest heart. She truly cared about people and her family. Yolanda was an amazing sister, aunt, grandmother and mother. We can all truly agree that she was like the matriarch of the family after her sister Gloria's passing. Whenever her family needed her, she was always there by their side and was so nurturing and loving. She was regarded as one of the most kind, most helpful and most loving individual. But most importantly her love for Jehovah shined through everything and her faith in his promises was very evident.

Yolanda is survived by her son, Manuel 'Bo' Andrade and her granddaughter, Renata Andrade. She is also survived by her brothers: Abraham (Marcella) Quintanilla, Eduardo (Dolores) Quintanilla, Hector (Linda) Quintanilla, Isaac (Raquel) Quintanilla; sister, Cynthia Hendon, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Concepcion 'Conchita' Coleman, father, Abraham Quintanilla Sr., her mother, Maria Quintanilla and her sister, Gloria Quintanilla Ramirez.

A talk will be given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 5436 Richter St., Corpus Christi, Texas, 78415 at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2016.
