Wilfred F. Saucedo, 65, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was born September 19, 1948 in Corpus Christi,Texas to Tomas A. Saucedo and Victoria Fuentes Saucedo. He was employed with the City of Corpus Christi's Solid Waste Department for 33 years. He retired in 2000, as a Solid Waste Department Supervisor. He volunteered much of his time over the years to the American Legion Post 364 where he was a member of the Rifle Detail for the Sons of the American Legion. He felt it was important for Veterans to receive burial with Honors. He enjoyed cooking for the Legions fundraiser "Fish Fry Friday". Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas A. Saucedo and Victoria Fuentes Saucedo, his baby son, Michael Saucedo, his brothers, Tomas, Jesus, and Lupe, his sisters, Emma, Rose and Terry, and most recently by his grandson Michael David Sandoval. He will be remembered by his loving wife of 44 years, Irene Saucedo, his three sons, Jose Luis Sandoval, Wilfred Thomas Saucedo and wife Jane, David Saucedo and wife Vida, and by his daughter, Cynthia Ann Saucedo Morales. His memories will also be shared by his surviving grandchildren, Joey Sandoval, William Saucedo, Lee Morales, Jr., Yazmeen Bentacourt, Jazlene Bentacourt, Erica Saucedo, Monica Saucedo, Tomas Saucedo, Olivia Saucedo, and Patrick Saucedo. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, Andrea, Nicholas, Joey, Mia and Mya, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at Guardian funeral home with Pastor John Valles officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
