Virginia W. Liesmann also known as Grandma Gina or Aunt Berda, passed at age 79 in Corpus Christi, TX on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was born on July 13, 1943, in Edinburg, TX to Petra S. Wells and Richard D. Wells. For those that were lucky to have known her, knew she was extremely loving, funny and giving. She was known by the community and her family as Grandma Gina and welcomed all who came to her. A special Thank You to her caregiver who she loved as family Eve Arredondo, Daughter Jennifer and kids, whom she loved as her own grandchildren and Elvia Martinez her most cherished friend.

Her hobbies included singing karaoke, one of her favorite songs was Martina McBride's "Under Your Broken-wing", sharpening her mind with her Puzzle books (Word searches) and finishing a 50-page books within a couple days, spending time with her grandkids playing Mexican bingo and spoiling them with their favorite home-cooked meals, but her all-time favorite thing was making people laugh with her creative and interactive storytelling.

She is proceeded in death by her Parents and her Sisters Beatrice Wells, Delia Owens and Agripina Rosales and Brother Delaney Wells and George Wells. Her Daughter Martie Jo. Liesmann and Great-Grandson Jaylen Cook and Dion Reid Jr. She is survived by Sisters Mary Alice Aragon, Elia W. Zapata, Mabel Garcia, Ernestina Carballa, Robert (Bobby) Wells, Columbus Wells, William (Billy) Wells. Her Daughter's, Michelle R. Liesmann-Salvador (Husband: Douglas), Melissa J. Liesmann-Flores (Husband: Horacio) and Sons Kyle D. F. Liesmann and Skipper Liesmann. Grandkids; Alana J. Liesmann and Jessica J. Liesmann, Dion L. Reid, Celina M. Perez, George L. Perez III, Joseph M. Salvador, Bernadette B. Salvador, Jonathan S. Garza (Wife: Angela), Krysten R. Garza (Jacob), Joseph D. Liesmann-Flores (Wife: Kimberly) Alyssa R. Liesmann-Flores (Sergio), Damien Liesmann, Darion Flores, Deanna Flores, Demarcus Liesmann and the numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Great Grandkids are Leia Mike, Jacob, Isaac, Isabella and Ariana Perez, Ellie Flores, Adela Ventura, Madelyn (Maddie), TJ Liesmann, Janessa Cook, Devin Liesmann and 4 Soon to Be Born.

Public Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home with a Rosary and Chapel Service to be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. with Deacon Larry Rodriguez officiating.
