Virginia Hernandez, 80, of Bishop passed away May 13, 2018 in Corpus Christi surrounded by her loving family.
Following her wishes closely, the family will not hold a visitation, as a private graveside burial is scheduled.
Virginia was born in Riviera, Texas on July 6, 1937.  She was first and foremost a loving wife, mother and devout Christian.  She was a talented seamstress by trade for many years. Virginia was a member of then First Assembly of God Church in Kingsville, where she taught Sunday school and was an active member of the Women's Group.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Gabriela and Julio Carmona and by her devoted husband Melquiades Hernandez.  She is survived by her siblings Enrique Carmona, Eustolio Carmona and Enedina Suarez, and by her children Rebecca Montgomery, David Hernandez, Hilda Dickerson, Cynthia Heimann, Joe Hernandez and their spouses.  Virginia has 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be left in guardianfhcremation.com
