Virginia Doris Rogers Hatley, 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2020.
She graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 1960.
She was born to parents Ailene "Mim" Rogers and Thomas "Papaw" Rogers, on October 1, 1942, in Freer, Texas.

Virginia worked as a Records Specialist. After 20 years of service, she retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot in 2008.
She loved oil painting, fishing,gardening, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and of course the Dallas Cowboys! She enrolled in a hula class in her mid-40s and graduated with honors of which she was extremely proud.
Her passions included spending time with her beloved family. She always had coffee or iced tea ready to share around her kitchen table with her many friends. Her nature was loving. She spread joy with her laughing eyes and infectious smile and seldom met a stranger. She shared her love for Jesus by her actions.

Virginia is survived by daughters Tami Johnson and Sharee' (Steve) Kirk and son Chuck (Holly Harris) Hatley; grandchildren Whitney Cox, Paige Cox, Haley (Kevin) Kainer, Tiffany (Clay) Herndon, Jonathan (Emily) Kirk, Nicholas (Aly) Kirk, Chaz Hatley, Ashton (Sandy) Hatley, Mariah Hatley, Dixie (Brandon Witherspoon) Gough, Josh Robertson, Shea Hatley; great grandchildren Lilah Crabtree, Summer Crabtree, Calliope Crabtree,
Teagan Cox, Elizabeth Herndon, Evelyn Herndon, Addie Eickleberry, Violet Eickleberry, Liam Hatley and Kameron Witherspoon.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Ann Rogers and Mary Rogers; nephews Brent (Shelly) Rogers and Thom (Jennifer) Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Tommy Joe Rogers and Troy "Booty" Rogers.

The family has entrusted Guardian Funeral Home with the arrangements.

A Memorial for Virginia "Tooter" Hatley is scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at 5922 Crosstown Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas. Deacon Stephen Nolte will officiate the ceremony.
