Victor Inez Wilmot, Sr., 88, passed away on December 25, 2020 to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and be reunited with his loving wife Claudina G. Wilmot of whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Victor was born on April 20, 1932 to his parents Sam & Santos Wilmot, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Sam Wilmot Jr., and his loving wife Claudina G. Wilmot.
Victor graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1951. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Past Master of Del Mar Masonic Lodge 1350. He retired from CCAD as a Supervisor. He loved coaching the Little League Baseball Teams, bowling, fishing, bingo, Horse Racing, casinos, the Dallas Cowboys, the Battlin' Buccaneers Football Team. His famous saying was "Thank You Very Much!" He had a true passion for barbecuing to the point that he even developed his own secret recipe for barbecue sauce. His legacy will live in our hearts forever.
The one thing everyone will remember about Victor were his stories from growing up in Corpus Christi, naming every building in town and the stories behind them. Each time he spoke we hung on to every word and couldn't get enough. The one story he always shared was how each day he would tie up his cow to pasture before going to school and then coming home to milk it and taking fresh milk to the famous Domingo Pena. He was the best story teller ever!!
The most important thing to Victor was his family and the way he loved all of them. He is survived by his children Yvonne (Johnny) Leos, Victor Jr aka Boy (Irene), Lucy, Michael (Dee), Nancy, numerous Grand, Great Grand and Great-Great Grandchildren and his beloved Chihuahua Baby.
