IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Victor S.
Gonzalez Sr.
March 23, 1959 – June 18, 2017
Victor S. Gonzalez Sr. of Corpus Christi TX was called home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2017 after a short, hard fought battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his brother Abel S. Gonzalez and his father Ramiro D. Gonzalez Sr. Our dad was born March 23, 1959, in Alice Texas to Ramiro D. Gonzalez and Sara San Miguel. He was a very hard worker and as a young teenager he began working at the family gas station. While working at the family business, he was attending Foy H. Moody High School. During this time, he fell in love with his beautiful wife and the love of his life of 40 years, Lilly. They married June 18, 1977. He never stopped working and providing for his family. Wherever he worked, he was a loyal employee, never missing any days no matter his situations. He was a jack of all trades, from auto mechanic to carpenter, plumber, he could do it ALL. He would make sure his family did not do without. His door was ALWAYS open to anyone who was in need. He took pride in his children and grandchildren. Although he was a man of few words, we could feel his love, caring and kindness. Victor was a staple for family and friends and was the focal point at family gatherings and holidays. No matter the situation, he could bring a smile or laughter out of anyone. He was an extreme diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, for obvious reasons. Go Cowboys! During hunting season, he would make it home for Sunday's noon game before the ranch dirt he threw up would hit the ground. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family, barbequing, hunting, and fishing and looked forward to our annual family vacations to Garner State Park. One thing for sure, while he enjoyed these things, first and foremost for him, was that his wife, our mom, was at an arm's reach. He was often heard asking, "Where's my Lilly". We can be rest assured, he loved her and his family with all his heart. We know that he is in peace now in heaven, as he believed and trusted in GOD for his family and marriage.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 40 years, Idalia "Lilly" O. Gonzalez, his 4 sons, Victor S. (Patricia) Gonzalez, Jr., David A. (Vanessa) Gonzalez, Joseph A. (Heather) Gonzalez, Timothy P. (Jennifer) Gonzalez, 14 grandchildren Victor S. (Leti) Gonzalez, III, Alexis M. Gonzalez & Cyleste R. Gonzalez (Twins), Ariel L. Gonzalez, Aaron P. Gonzalez, Haylee N. Gonzalez, Jordayn I. Villarreal, Noah I. Gonzalez, Landon J. Gonzalez, Katelynn M. Gonzalez, Timothy P. Gonzalez, Jr., Emma R. Gonzalez, Jayden L. Gonzalez, coming soon "Baby" Gonzalez. His mother Sara S. Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, brother Ramiro S. (Sylvia) Gonzalez, Jr. of Round Rock,TX, sisters Christina (Abel) Valle and Hilda R. (Carlos) Lagarde of Corpus Christi, sister-in-law's Gracie Curry and Mari M. Castro of Corpus Christi and brother in law Gregorio M.
