Veronica "Bernie" Vega

Corpus Christi - Passed away September 17, 2021; she was taken so soon from us. She was the most giving and caring person you could ever meet, who also had a heart of gold. Veronica was born on November 12, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the mama to so many of her nieces and nephews. She never complained or ever asked for a thank you she was always willing to help when she could with a happy heart. She will be missed by so many of us, especially by her twin brother Fred.

Preceded in death by her father Manuel Vega, her brother Ralph Vega, Sister Luisa Vega and Nephew Gilberto Navarro Jr. She is survived by her mother Luisa G Vega of Corpus Christi, Texas. Her 3 brothers Lorenzo (Mary) Vega, Juan M (Edna) Vega and Federico" Fred" (Bernadette) Vega all of Corpus Christi, Texas.  6 sisters Herminia (Joe) Gonzales, Elena (Santos) Canales, Ida (Arturo) Soto, Amelia (Gustavo) Pena , Martha ( Fernando ) Cavazos all of Corpus Christi, Texas. Elda (Gilbert) Robledo of Laredo, Texas.

She is survived by 38 nieces and nephews, 114 great nieces and nephews and 31 great grand nieces and nephews.

She was the best aunt in the world. Very kind, giving, sweet and everyone loved her humor

Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Guardian funeral home chapel ''A'' with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church on Friday, September 24, 2021 . Burial will follow in San Diego Cemetery on Luby Ave at 1:00 p.m.
