Obituary
Vernon Hubert Brandon, 86, died of cancer on September 29, 2016. He was born in Osage County, Oklahoma on January 2, 1930. Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, June; brother, James; son-in-laws, Mickey McGregor, and Claude Abernathy; grandson, Ernest Shelton III. Hubert is survived by daughters, Scharee McGregor, Sandy Abernathy, and Dawn Verlander; sons, Ernest Shelton, Jr., and Buddy Brandon; nephew, James Brandon; seven grandchildren, and several great, and great-great-grandchildren.
In honor of his Native American Heritage, a Memorial Service will be conducted by Larry Running Turtle Salazar on January 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Cole Park, Corpus Christi (Weather Permitting).
