Velma Sanchez, 53, passed away on February 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Houston, Texas on January 24, 1971.

She is preceded in death by her parents Armando Sanchez and Dominga Sanchez, her brothers Robert Martinez and Guadalupe Sanchez, her sisters Mary Esther Martinez, Belinda Sanchez, and Rosalinda Sanchez. She is survived by her two brothers Mark (Marisela) Sanchez, and Armando (Melanie) Sanchez, her two sons Jesse Davila (Heaven), Armando Robert  Davila (Sandra), her nieces and nephews Jennifer and Nadia Martinez, Steven and Jessica, Ashrya Winterroth (Justin), Juan, Crystal, Eric, and Noel, Guadalupe Perez (Krystal), Israel Sanchez, Carmen Flores, Abigail (Jesus), Aubrie, Aleigha, and Olivia.
Velma (better known as Shorty) was the life of the party, always smiling and laughing, she was loved by many, she loved to be with family, she loved cooking for her loved ones and loved the Dallas Cowboys. She wouldn't leave a conversation without an "oooo uh-uh!!"
She's already greatly missed.

Public visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m.
