Valentin De Leon (02/15/1954 -11/17/21) was in the United States Air Force for 22 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. His dedication and outstanding military service continued for 16 years with NAS Kingsville and the Corpus Christi Army Depot. During his active military service, he was given the opportunity to travel to various foreign countries and experience and appreciate a worldwide perspective.

He was born in Alice, TX to Ponciano and Cruz De Leon. One of his passions was reading books (history, literature, etc.) In addition, he enjoyed the challenge of trivia games, to make people laugh, and surround himself with family and friends who will forever love and remember him. We are here to announce his passing and to celebrate his life of 67 years.

Valentin is survived by his wife, Maria De Leon; a daughter, Kristen Corder (Chris Johnson); a son, Aric De Leon; five grandchildren: Gavin De Leon, Bailey Corder, Branson Corder, Brighid De Leon, and Asher De Leon; and three siblings: Alifonzo (Elizabeth) De Leon, Terry Cantu, and Janie Nieto.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ponciano and Cruz De Leon and his three sisters: Amelia Zuniga, Alcaria Cavazos, and Maria Luna.

Public Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with a Celebration of Life service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Funeral procession will depart at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from Guardian Funeral Home to the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for the Committal Service that begins at 11:00 a.m.; Full Military Honors will be rendered at the Cemetery
