Valentin L. Deleon, Jr., passed away March 18, 2014. He was born on May 3, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was retired from the Corpus Christi Caller-times. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Dora M. Deleon, children,  Val, Alice Alegria, Richard, Rudy Deleon, Priscilla Martinez and Sandra Deleon, step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. that evening.  Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2014 at Guardian funeral home.(5922 crosstown expressway/286 so. between Saratoga #357 and Holly Rd.)
