Tomasa Lugo Garcia, 60, went to be with our Lord & Savior on October 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She fought stomach cancer along with liver cirrhosis. She was a fighter, an overcomer til the very end. She touched many lives and she was an amazing cook and made the best homemade tortillas in town. Tomasa will be greatly missed but never forgotten, our earth angel is now our heavenly angel watching us from the heavenly kingdom of Christ. Tomasa and Baldemar had just completed 41 wonderful years of marriage in September. She raised 3 beautiful kids, 2 daughters and 1 son, she was a kind hearted, loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was loved and will be missed by all especially her grandchildren who called her Nana from the ranch, Wela & Inga. She loved to be in the peace & tranquility at their ranch in Sandia, Tx. Tomasa enjoyed being outdoor feeling the warmth of the sun on her body. She owned many pets in her lifetime, which included pitbulls, a chihuahua and was an animal lover, she also enjoyed all types of music of which included Tupac. She is survived by her loving husband, of 41 years of marriage Baldemar Garcia, Jr., son, Ernest (Claudia) Garcia, daughters, Margaret (Anthony) Cantu, and Amanda (Kel) Hernandez, 18 grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, Marcelo (Rosie) Lugo, Rito (Janie) Lugo, Paula (Jim) Daniel, Hector (Virginia) Lugo, Linda (Johnny) Rodriguez, Cornelio Lugo, Marcy (Pete) Martinez and Samuel (Yolanda) Lugo, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m.,Friday, October 17, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Catholic church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd. Active pallbearers will be Ernest, Anthony, Adolio, Kel, Ben, Hector, Andy, and Johnny Lee.
