IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timoteo Garcia
Ramirez
January 24, 1924 – April 20, 2020
Timoteo Garcia Ramirez was born on January 24, 1924 to Tomas Niño Ramirez and Rafaela Garcia Ramirez. He married Beatrice Castillo on March 4, 1961. Timoteo G. Ramirez was a devoted Jehovah Witness for almost 60 years. He proudly served as an elder for several congregations in Corpus Christi and Sinton, Texas.
Timoteo is preceded in death by: his wife Beatrice C. Ramirez; daughter Olga Lydia Ramirez-Gutierrez (Baldemar); three siblings: Narciso Ramirez, Juan Tomas Ramirez and Ida R. Ybarra.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: son Mario Ramirez (Ester); granddaughter Serena Julissa Gutierrez; brother Pablo Ramirez (Ofelia) of Houston, Texas; sisters: Lilly Ramirez Maldonado of Corpus Christi, Texas and Virginia Ramirez Grote of California; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Timoteo Ramirez was a bricklayer for many years before retiring. He was very zealous in his preaching work as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, even till the end. At 96 years old, he was still an active member in preaching the good news of Jehovah's Kingdom. He was one to always imitate his faith, although he was 96, his priority and joy came from doing spiritual activities like attending his Christian meeting, never missing one. The joy he felt for the ministry work was amazing; he had energy to go do bible studies and help others learn about the blessing for the future.
Timoteo also enjoyed watching the sport of baseball. He loved to see the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros. He also enjoyed spending time with the family especially in the latter part of his life. He was a big part of the Maldonado and Quintanilla family. We spent many times enjoying meals, attending meetings together and going out to all his favorite places; anywhere he could get a nice bowl of caldo or carne guisada! He also loved his coffee and sweetbread after every meal.
Timoteo died knowing he would rest for a little while and awake healthy and younger; where there will be no suffering or sickness or death he had that hope and that he would be reunited in beautiful paradise with his wife and his family. Revelation 21:4
Timoteo will be missed greatly by all his brothers and sisters in the faith where he attended the Southport Congregation and by all his family members.
The family would like to thank New Century Hospice Care, all the nurses and social workers as well as the CNA that worked with my uncle on his last days; as well as the staff at Wooldridge Place Nursing Home.
