IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry
White
February 25, 1959 – November 27, 2021
Carlos Terrell White Jr., known to all as Terry, went home to the Lord on November 27, 2021 at the age of 62. Terry was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Carlos Terrell (Buddy) White and Wilma Jean White on February 25, 1959.
Terry graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1978. It was there he met his wife of many years Darla Thomas. Together they raised their son, Terry Clifford White.
Terry was known to be a jack of all trades. He could fix anything. As a young boy, Terry would take apart things around the house to see how they worked and then he would put them back together again. He was an entrepreneur, following in his fathers' footsteps. He opened a paint and body shop, The Fender Fixer, where he was also an auto mechanic and sold used cars as a licensed car dealer. He later opened TW Auto Sales and many years later opened a resale shop, Nu-2-U, with his wife Darla. After parting ways, Terry returned to his love of auto mechanics. Five years ago, Terry met Zeke Gonzalez who became his dear friend and business partner. They had an auto repair shop in Calallen where they kept very busy repairing small engines and cars. Terry had a great love for animals and had many treasured pets in his life. He was also affectionately known as the Cat Man because he rescued and saved many cats. He uniquely named each cat and was lovingly caring for them as part of his family.
Terry was saved and baptized as a young boy and then rededicated himself to the Lord a couple of years ago. Terry had many sorrows in his life but he knew the Lord as his Savior.
Terry is preceded in death by his father Buddy White and his older brother Kenneth Eakins. He is survived by his only child, Terry White, and his mother, Darla Thomas. He leaves behind his mother, Jean White, three sisters, Jenny Burkham, Sharon (David) Green, Rhonda (Brent) Thorn and brothers David White and Jimmy Huff. He also leaves behind his special friend Kati Ellington, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many longtime friends as well as new friends.
A memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church, 6701 S. Staples, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78413 on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm with a reception following. Services will be officiated by Pastor Dana Moore.
