Maria Teresa Guerrero Ortiz, 74, of Corpus Christi, Texas went home to be with Jesus on October 2, 2021, surrounded by her three children and son-in-law.

Teresa was born on May 7, 1947 to Manuel Guerrero and Marcela Delgado in the city of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

In 1970 she met and married  Roberto Ortiz, Sr. and the two were inseparable from that point on. Teresa and Roberto were married for 47 years and had three children, Leticia O. Roescher (William) Robert Ortiz, Jr and Jose Antonio Ortiz.

Teresa was a dedicated mother to her children, raising all three of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to our mother, a value she instilled in all those around her.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband. She is survived by her three children and four grandchildren, William D. Roescher, Jr. Christian G. Rodriguez, Andrew J. Roescher, Giovani Ortiz. One great grandchild, Adelynn Roescher, Sisters  Maria Eugenia Guerrero Brown, Maria de la Luz Guerrero de Zaragoza, brothers, Antonio Guerrero Delgado, Gerardo Guerrero Delgado, Felipe Guerrero Delgado, Manuel Guerrero Delgado and many nieces and nephews.

Our mother was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth. She was fiercely dedicated/tenacious/strong/loyal/ independent and our family was blessed to have her as matriarch of the family.

We will never be able to fill the void left behind by her absence and she will forever be missed.
