Teresa R. Alaniz of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 18,2022 at the age of 79. Teresa was born in Hualahuises, Mexico on August 7, 1942.  Teresa retired from the CCISD after 20 years of service.  She enjoyed 55 years of marriage with her late devoted husband Cecilio Alaniz. Teresa had a passion for her husband, kids, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most would define her as very loving & supportive, but her happiness was found spending many, many countless holidays surrounded by her loving family. She loved to have everyone gathered around sharing memories and stories.

She was always ready to test her luck at the casinos, some of her favorite places to visit were Las Vegas, Eagle Pass, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. She loved the hustle and bustle of a Fiesta, being with the people, sharing a laugh and occasionally playing a round of 31 with the grandkids. She truly enjoyed the long talks on her flip phone, attending various Purple Heart Ceremonies where she was proud to hold the title of a Gold Star Mom from her son Andy's service in the U.S. Army.  This woman left a legacy that will live on in many hearts, for generations to come.
