Obituary

Taylor (Tay) Gabrielle Magallañez was born into the companionship of Judy Brown and José Luis Magallañez on September 5, 1997. She was her mother's only child and the youngest of four children on her fathers side.

Taylor accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She was Baptized at Church Unlimited (Formerly 'Bay Area Christian Fellowship') by Pastor Bill Cornelius. She really enjoyed the children's ministry and summer camp programs. She continued in the faith and ministry until her last breath.

Taylor started her schooling at Club Estates Elementary; there she excelled as an Honor Roll student. In 5th grade she was a Three Star Student (Channel 3). She was recognized for her hard work and was presented with the "Presidential Award for Outstanding Students" from President Barack Obama. For three years while in middle school, Taylor volunteered at Spohn Shoreline Hospital. In high school Taylor participated as part of the debate team where she was also nominated as homecoming Queen, and she danced as a Tigerette. After excelling for four years, Taylor graduated from Mary Carroll High School with Honors. She went on to attend Texas A&M University and majored in Dentistry, a passion in which she was still pursuing. Taylor worked for Dr. Summers Dentistry at Spohn South Medical Center as a Dental Assistant. Taylor loved her job very much and she was making her dreams a reality.

Taylor loved God, being a Mother, Manny, and her family dearly. She took every chance she could to be surrounded by family.

With her Mother, Manny, and her family beside her, Taylor took her final moments here on Earth from Bay Area Hospital at 5:45 am in the early morning on January 7, 2021.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her beautiful amazing son Damien Cayde Gonzalez, mother Judy Brown, her father José Luis Magallañez, her brother José (Jojo) Luis Magallañez Jr., two sisters: Adriana L. Magallañez and Leticia M. Zapata, six nephews and nieces: Lucinda Guerra, Fabian Zapata Jr., Miliano Zapata, Eliza Zapata, Micheal Zapata and Max Zapata, devoted and caring man Juan (Manny) A. Gonzalez III, Damien's grandparents: Mr. Juan Gonzalez Jr. and Mrs. Stella Gonzalez, and their two daughters: Brittney Gonzalez and Brianna Gonzalez, six aunts: Loretta Brown (St. Louis), Angela Brown (St. Louis), Diane Brown (St. Louis), Margie Davilla Alma Villarreal and Virginia Magallañez, an uncle: Walter Brown (St. Louis), her long time best friends Jannelli Peña and Alejandra Mena, and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Taylor was one of a kind, as rare as diamonds can be...
Formed deep within Earth's core, but as beautiful as the eye can see...
She had such a shy smile, but carried a bold presence...
With a personality so unique, you'd never question its essence...
She definitely had her 'blonde moments,' she made Judy's laughter loud...
And brain so full of intellect, she always made her family proud...
She never made her mind up, didn't know what she wanted her major to be...
She studied Biology, Art, and Nursing, then finally ended with Dentistry...
That's because her Destiny was already written, she was living out Gods plans...
Exploring all of her hearts desires, pursuing as much as one can...
The clock was ticking, the days went past...
She lived her life, never knowing when it'd be her last...
But before she went home, she needed to accomplish two major things...
To find the love of her life, and to become a mother to a little being...
She met Manny and fell in love, their connection was no mystery...
God knew her life was too special to only become a memory...
So he added Damien to the mix, to make sure he carried her legacy...
With a smile as wide as hers, and her laugh reincarnated...
Her son keeps her love flowing, and her loved ones motivated...
As quickly as she came is as quietly as she went...
We were blessed for 23 years with an Angel heaven sent...
We wanted her here, but God needed her more...
Took her from us over night, with a sickness never seen before...
He made sure she wasn't in pain, no resentments only grace...
Face as bare as she was born, but not a scar on her face...
She looked like love on a Thursday, and harmony on the seventh...
She gave peace to Earth that day, then blessed heaven with her presence...
We will mourn her like we adorned her, and sometimes we will cry...
We will get angry and upset, and we might not be able to explain why...
But it will be on the days where we feel her warmth, that we will look into the sky...
And know that our guardian Angel has us under her watchful eye...
Today we celebrate the loved, the only, Taylor Magallañez...
