August 20, 1969 – November 6, 2022
Tanna Marie Curiel, 53 , entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 6, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle against endometrial cancer. She was born August 20, 1969 in Corpus Christi, Tx to Raymond Curiel and Dolly Andrade.
Tanna loved DIY projects, painting parties, movie nights and concerts.
She was hilarious, kind, caring and so loving to everyone she met, she had a huge heart and smile to match. She was the best Daughter, Mom, sister, aunt and grandmother.
She dedicated her life to being a Mom, her kids and family came before everything. That's who she lived for and wanted nothing more than to spend her free time together, whether it was to cook dinner, make crafts, bbq, having painting parties or just getting together for a movie night and snacks, that's what made her happy.
She was the life of the party, her laugh was loud and contagious, her R rated jokes and sense of humor kept everyone laughing. She had nicknames for everyone, Trusha, Moomoo, Leisha, gummy bear, Spanky, LA woman, Tittles, La Banessa, Booben, Kylie and the list goes on.
Tanna is preceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Jesus M. Contreras and Gertrude "Tules" Contreras, Paternal grandparents, Pablo and Elena Curiel.
Tanna is survived by daughters; Amanda Curiel, Raeanna Bolanos and son Jason Garcia,(Lindsey), grandsons Jaydrien Rodriguez, Caiden and Brayden Garcia and her fur grand daughter, Honey.
Her parents; Dolly & Robert Andrade and Raymond & Norma Curiel, sisters; Yvette (Ruben) Deleon, Tessa (Gabriel) Ruiz, Michelle (David) Egure, Alina (Chris) Gomez, brothers; Tidus (Adriana) Curiel, Joseph (Stephanie) Curiel.
She had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends but had an extra special bond with her DIY, paint party / crafting crew; nieces Kristin, Yazmine, Aiyana and nephews; Christopher, Ayden and Gabe Jr., Alaina Ruiz of Austin, Texas.
The family would like to mention Raymond Bolanos and Monica Garcia who played a special role in her life.
Tanna worked in the medical profession as a home health pediatric nurse. She loved being a nurse and loved her little patients even more, she formed bonds with each and every one, always going above and beyond for them.
Tanna is irreplaceable and her loss will be felt by many, near and far but she is now resting and pain free in Heaven watching over us. It's not good bye, it's see you later.
On Friday, November 11, 2022 a Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic church on 1302 Lantana.
