Tammy Nadine Plautz, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 3, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, Tammy lived a life full of love, resilience, and devotion to her family and community.
Tammy was the cherished daughter of Clarence L. Pinney and Betty Jane Pinney (Merritt), who preceded her in death, along with her loving husband, John C. Plautz, and her siblings: brothers Tom, Tim, Fred, Earl, Claude, and sisters Janet and Lori. She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Lauren Plautz, Kristen O'shei, and Emily Plautz, who were the light of her life, her sister Cathy Welliver as well as her beloved grandchildren: Aiden Plautz, Jason Foster, Oliver Razo-Plautz, Mateo Razo-Plautz, and Novalie Foster. Tammy was a dedicated and loving grandmother whose warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Tammy's marriage to John C. Plautz on February 15, 1985, marked the beginning of a partnership built on love, laughter, and mutual support. Together, they created a nurturing home where their daughters flourished, and family gatherings were filled with joy and cherished memories.
For 13 years, Tammy served as a custodian at W.B. Ray High School, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She took great pride in her job and loved being a part of the school community, leaving a positive impact on the students and faculty alike.
Tammy was a woman of many passions. She had a profound love for God, the beach, and the beauty of nature, often nurturing her plants and flowers with great care. Her kind and loving spirit made her a source of comfort and support for those around her. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her ability to bring warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered.
Tammy's journey through life was not without its challenges. She fought bravely against cancer, with the support of Elara Caring Hospice, who provided solace and care during her difficult journey. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the compassion and assistance extended to them during this time.
A funeral service to honor Tammy's life will be held at Guardian Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Tammy for her kindness, love, and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
