Susie Perales Abarca, age 98, of Corpus Christi, passed away peacefully at her home on April 19, 2021. She was born October 29, 1922, in Bonnie View, Refugio, Texas, to Augustine Perales and Manuela Castillo Perales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Onofre Abarca, and son Antonio P. Abarca.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Louise Abarca, grandson and wife Antonio Mark and Melissa Abarca, and granddaughter and husband Jennifer and Jon Flores. She was loved and will be missed by her five great-grandchildren, Antonio Onofre Abarca V, Alejandro Marcos Abarca, Jon Abarca Flores, Joshua Abarca Flores, and Jacob Abarca Flores.

Susie was known as "Momo" to friends and family members who will sadly miss her.

Susie Abarca retired from Dillard's Formal and Fine China Department and spent many years managing properties in Corpus Christi.

Susie always lived for others. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to her favorite organization, Marine Toys for Tots.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
