IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steve
Cavazos
August 13, 1967 – June 4, 2023
Steve Cavazos passed away on June 4, 2023 at the age of 55. Steve was born on August 13, 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Vicente Cavazos and Juanita Luna.
Steve owned a successful business called "Keep it Clean Professional Janitorial Services" that has been known to serve many in the Corpus Christi area for the last 25 years.
There are not enough words to describe the mark Steve Cavazos placed on this Earth. From his early years in life as the legend of the softball fields. He was the humble home run hitter. As Steve grew-up, he hung up his cleats and picked up a coaching clipboard to coach softball and basketball teams for over a decade. KABOOM! Each year, Steve and Linda ensured the girls were registered and coached in every league and tournament available. He selflessly volunteered his time to coach practices, give rides, feed, host, and cheer on every athlete that came through his team as if they were his own children. As many of his select-ball athletes and his own children moved on to play college sports, embark on their careers, or take over his family business, he retired to become the greatest grandfather to Isabella and Julianna. Steve's retirement and new favorite hobbies included Being the best husband to his lifetime sweetheart—going on dates to the movies and the trade center. He cherished nights around the family dinner table and his impressive collection of figurines, swords and sports memorabilia. Steve will always be remembered and loved for the husband, dad, popo, friend, athlete and coach he was to this community.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Rose and Gilbert Villarreal, whom he loved deeply.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife Linda, his children, Melanie Cavazos and Steven (Jordan) Cavazos; Grandchildren: Isabella and Juliana Cavazos; sister: Sandra (Jimmy) Hernandez; brothers; Joe (Velma) Cavazos, Vicente (Ruth) Cavazos, Paul (Dee) Cavazos; sister-in-laws: Irma (Jay) Wiley, Annette Thompson, Amanda (Bob) Porter and brother-in- law; Alex (Dory) Villarreal.
