Simon Rojas Sr., 65, of Alice, Texas, passed away unexpectedly.

Born in Alice, Simon attended Moody High School and spent 26 years working as a dedicated vehicle inspector at Woodys Truck Center. He was a passionate sports fan who loved playing golf and, most of all, spending quality time with his family.

Simon is survived by his loving wife of 50 years  Maria Rojas; his children, Liza Esquivel and her husband Saul Esquivel, Simon Rojas Jr. and his fiancée Jenny Robinson, and Aaron Rojas and significant other Angelina Williams; and his cherished grandchildren: Adam and his wife Ashley Esquivel, Adrian Esquivel, Alise Esquivel, Luke Rojas, Charles Rojas, Elizabeth Williams, Ariah Rojas, and Antonio Rojas. Great granddaughter Alivia Esquivel.

He is also survived by his in laws Eustolio & Soveida Arevalo, his sister Criselda Gutierrez, sister-in-law Betty Rojas, the beloved family dog, Lana and numerous friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Rodrigo Kito Rojas, his mother Cristina Carrasco Benavides, and his brother Javier Rojas Sr.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 30th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Guardian Funeral Home, located at 5922 Crosstown SH 286, Corpus Christi, TX 78417. The Holy Rosary and Chapel Service will begin at 6:00 PM. Reception to follow at Guardian Hall, located at 5813 Ayers St., Corpus Christi, TX  78415.

Simon will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for family, and his unwavering kindness. His memory will live on in all those who knew and loved him.
