Selina "Jay" Sanchez, 86, was called home by the Lord on March 21, 2014. She passed away at home with family by her. Jay was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 23, 1928 to Damaso and Estefana Perez Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her husband Tomas R. Sanchez, son Tommy Sanchez, sisters Evangelina Velez, Felipa Cantu, Rumalda Anderson and brothers Pablo Rodriguez , and Victor Rodriguez. She is survived by her brother Simon Rodriguez of Corpus Christi. Her surviving children include Robert Gonzalez (Dianne), Patsy Tunches Muran (Tom), Doris Sanchez Morgan (Mike), Glenda Sanchez Ritchie (Bill), and Regino Sanchez (Luz).  She is also survived by  twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jay loved to be with her family and she had an adventuresome spirit. She spent the first half of her life in Corpus Christi, and worked as a nurse's aid at Osteopathic Hospital. She moved to Orange County, CA with her family in 1973. She embarked on new life adventures in Colorado in 1978 and came to love the mountains and lakes. She worked with dedication at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, CO with the Flight for Life air ambulance. She married Ben Arguello in 1990. They spent many early mornings fishing for trout and exploring the back roads. They retired in Mora, New Mexico to a peaceful mountain ranch where she enjoyed lake fishing, reading, and keeping up with her growing family in California and Texas. Ben passed away in 2012. Jay moved to Corpus Christi where she spent her last years with her dear family in this area. Rest in heavenly peace, Mom. We love you and you'll remain in our hearts always!
