Obituary

Sarah Morales, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 23,2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 17, 1937, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to all who knew her.

As a mother of seven children—Carlos, Griselda, Ronaldo, Roxana, Veronica, Samson and Ralph—she raised her family with unyielding strength and grace. Despite the challenges of raising her children alone, she instilled in each of them values of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love, building a close-knit family that has remained her greatest pride.

Sarah was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. Whether it was packing lunches for school, staying up late helping with homework, or offering a shoulder to cry on, she did it all with love and patience. Her home was always a warm haven, filled with laughter, the smell of fresh-baked goods, and the sounds of life.

A woman of deep faith, Sarah found comfort in her spirituality and passed this legacy of love and compassion onto her children and grandchildren. Her generosity extended beyond her family as she often lent a hand to those in need in her community and in her church.

She is survived by her seven children: Carlos (Velma) Morales, Griselda (Isaac) Salas Jr, Ronaldo (Minnie) Morales, Roxana Tenorio, Veronica Cortina, Dr Samson Cantu (Clara), Ralph Cantu (Claudia), her 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones whose lives she touched with her kindness and wisdom.

Sarah Morales was preceded in death by her parents, Eudelio Charcas Salazar, and Maria Gutierrez Salazar, her sisters Susana Baraza and Olivia DeLaCruz, her grand-daughter Sarah R. Salas and great-granddaughter Micaela C. Sudell, who welcomed her into eternal peace.

Her family will be honoring her life with a service at Guardian Funeral Home and Cremation, 5922 Crosstown Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417 on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1pm.

The family will be receiving visitors at 11am to 1pm with service beginning immediately after.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Isaac Salas III, Michael R Salas, Eric Alvarado, Andrew R Martinez, Ricky Nuncio Jr, Ryan J. Cantu, Benjamin Cantu, Matthew Cantu and James Cantu.
