Obituary

Santiago "Jimmy" P. Delgado, 54, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born in San Marcos, Texas on December 28, 1967.

Jimmy was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a devout and faithful christian who loved his family and spending as much time as possible with all. His joking and special laughter will never be forgotten. He instilled values in his children who made them who they are today. He was a great conversationalist and mentor who kept in contact with family and friends. He will continue to live in our hearts, in our memories and will always be with us.

His parents Richard H. Delgado, Lydia P. Escobar, sister Alicia Delgado, stepfather Manual Escobar, father-in-law Jesus R. Figueroa and sister-in-law Irene Elaine Figueroa proceeded Jimmy in death.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Maria Isabel Delgado of Corpus Christi, his daughters Tiffany Nichole (David) Bain, Beverly Mariah A. both of San Antonio and son Isaiah Jim (Yasmeen) Delgado of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Avery Renee Peralta, Tyler David Bain, Arianna Nichole A. and Jaxson A., his siblings Rosanna "Rose" (Robert) Garcia of San Marcos, Sally Ann (Bobby) San Miguel of Corpus Christi, Richard "Rick" Delgado Jr. of Corpus Christi, Roland P. (Veronica) Escobar of Robstown, his mother-in-law Esther Figueroa of Corpus Christi and sister-in-law's Emmelinda "Emily" Figueroa and Patricia "Patsy" Figueroa both of Corpus Christi. Numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors, and friends also survived him.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary and Celebration of Jimmy's life to begin at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, April 7, 2022 visitation will continue starting at 9:00 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:35 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
