IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra L.
Martinez
November 23, 1962 – October 16, 2024
Sandra L. Martinez passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 61. Sandra was born on November 23, 1962 in Alice, Texas to Eduardo N. Longoria and Lamar Ruiz.
She is like a sunflower
She stands tall in her faith
She waters the soil of her mind with words of love and kindness
Spreading seeds of happiness across the field
Brightening the world like the sun does, with her smile
She doesn't seek to compete or validate who she truly is
Blooming with elegance,
she unapologetically rise up to shine her light
She is purpose
She is like a sunflower
Sandra was a strong, loving, selfless, determined woman tell her she can't and she will prove she can. She would give you the shirt off her back and put anyone first before herself. She was a natural care giver and always dreamed of becoming a nurse. Sandra loved her family very much and was the glue holding everyone together from family gatherings on the holidays especially Christmas (which was her favorite holiday) to making birthday cakes/dinners to celebrate. She would go above and beyond for her family no matter what the circumstance was if you needed her, she was always there. If you needed something, she would always provide. She always found a way. Sandra enjoyed listening to music but to her music was so much more than just music it was going down memory lane reminiscing her younger years as a teen and to traveling with her husband in the military and all the songs he sang to her. Sandra and her husband were always listening to music together. Sandra was more than just a wife a mother a grandmother and a friend she was an angel with invisible wings who was sent here on earth with a purpose, as she would say she was Not Of This World (NOTW) she always knew what to say and what you needed to hear "do unto others as you'd like to be done to you" and much more. Family and friends Sandra fought a good fight so don't be sad that she's gone but be rejoicing that she is no longer suffering or in pain and is with her loved ones who she missed dearly. Sandra's favorite flower was a sunflower because even in the midst of darkness sunflowers stand tall and find the sunlight. And that was her nothing or no one could keep her down. We will miss you dearly!
-Love, your husband, children, grandchildren, great grand children, brothers and friends.
