Sandra Botello, a cherished soul known for her loving nature, infectious humor, and wise counsel, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on February 21, 1968, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sandra's life was a tapestry woven with devotion to family, a passion for life's simple pleasures, and a legacy of warmth that touched everyone she knew.

Sandra was the beloved daughter of Ponciano Botello Jr. and Lucilla Quimbar, and she also held close the memory of Fernando Blanco, whom she lovingly regarded as a father figure. Her early years in Corpus Christi were filled with love and laughter—qualities that would come to define her throughout her life. She attended Ray High School and later furthered her education at Del Mar College, where she earned her GED, demonstrating determination, perseverance, and a commitment to personal growth.

In 2005, Sandra found her lifelong partner in Oscar Tovar Jr. Their marriage of 22 years was built on love, mutual respect, and shared dreams. Together, they created a blended family that included her children: Cassie Lee Davila, Marcus Lee Davila, Crystal Marque Deleon, and Julian Botello. Sandra embraced motherhood with grace and strength, guiding her children with wisdom while encouraging them to follow their own paths.

Sandra's heart grew even fuller in her role as grandmother to Kian, Divinity, Davina, Michael, Maximus, Mikayla, and Madilyn, along with eight bonus grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she delighted in celebrating their milestones, offering encouragement, laughter, and unconditional love.

Sandra also shared a special bond with her beloved pets, Chico, Sam, and Milo, who were constant companions and a source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love. They were truly part of her family and brought her endless happiness.

She found joy in the outdoors—camping beneath the stars, tending to her garden, and spending peaceful days at the beach. Music fed her spirit, whether attending concerts or enjoying lively games of pool with friends. Sandra's home was often the gathering place for family barbecues, made special by her famous arroz con pollo, savory caldo, and much-loved potato salad.

A lover of both humor and suspense, Sandra enjoyed comedy and thriller films, with Law & Order being her favorite show. She was also a devoted sports fan, proudly cheering on the Texans and the Cowboys. Her laughter was unforgettable, her advice heartfelt and wise, and her presence a comfort to all who knew her.

Sandra Botello will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she gave so freely, the joy she brought into every room, and the lasting imprint she leaves on the hearts of her family and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Spohn Shoreline Hospital for their compassionate care, as well as to the dedicated HEB staff for their kindness and support. Special thanks are also given to Yvonne and Louis, Jessica Fuentes, Janie Rubio, Rigo Hernandez, Lilly Corpus, Ponciano "Pelon" and Cynthia Botello, Rita and Joe Tovar, and Clemon Tovar, whose love, presence, and unwavering support never left Sandra's side.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home located at 8922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 starting visitation will be at 3:00 pm, Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm, Celebration of Life Service at 6:30pm. At the request of Sandra's family, friends and family are encouraged to share memories and fun times together after the service.
