Obituary

Janie Elizalde Ortiz, age 61, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Janie was born on September 17, 1955 in Harlingen, Texas.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maria Luisa Elizalde; brother, Reynaldo Elizalde, and partner Raul Hernandez.
Janie is survived by her son, Ruben Ortiz Jr.; daughter, Estella Robles; five grandchildren, Krysta Ortiz, John Robles Jr., Kassidy Ortiz, Ruben Ortiz III and Gabriella Robles; brothers, Joe Elizalde, and David Elizalde;  sisters, Dahlia Martinez, Olivia Vega, Nora Hurtado and Alma Valdez; and many beloved nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at Monte Sinai Baptist Church on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
