Russ Edward Kelly, 48, passed away May 27, 2017 in his home surrounded by family.  He was born January 24, 1969 in Houston, Texas and was raised in Portland, Texas.   He was a graduate of Gregory Portland High School and Texas A&M University-College Station.  Rusty was a wonderful husband, an amazing father, a dedicated son and brother, and a loyal friend.

Rusty is preceded in death by his father, Don E. Kelly; and stepfather, Grover Mann.

He is survived by his wife,  Jessica Kelly; daughters, Abigail and Ashlyn Kelly; mother, Joyce Mann; brother,  Michael (Suzan) Kelly;  sisters, Kimberly (Gary) McAlister, Donna Danheim, and Kathleen (Rusty) Richardson; mother-in-law, Jacque (Melvin) Behrends; brother-in-laws,  Jason (Molly) Visosky,  John Paul (Mollie) Visosky; sister-in-laws, Jennifer (Wade) Tennill,  Janet (Scott) Dierlam;  uncle, James (Charlotte) Kelly; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A celebration of Rusty's blessed life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church (Portland, TX) Prayer Garden and Columbarium Project.
