Rudolf Richard Pena, known affectionately as Rudy, gained his angel wings at the age of 74 on March 26, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Rudy retired from Sherwin Aluminum, in Ingleside, Texas. His greatest passions were his family, friends, and fishing, and he was well known for his adventurous spirit. A truly humble man, Rudy would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He loved traveling, fishing, visiting casinos, going on cruises, listening to music, and barbecuing with family and friends.

Rudy was a devoted father who raised three children and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Minerva Peña.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Peña; his sons, Christopher Andrew (Claudine) Pena, Michael Anthony (Lisa) Pena; his daughter, Melissa Jean Pena; his grandchildren, Lamar Alexander Bryant and Dae’Jah Lynn Pena whom he raised.

He is also survived by his siblings, Laura Peña (Susana), Raymond Peña, Nelda Swetish (Mark), and David Peña (Kina), grandchildren Cassie, Crista, and CJ Pena, Damien Xavier Pena and his great -granddaughter Catherine Isabella Jones. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Rudy's life will be celebrated with a service at Guardian Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The family invites all who knew Rudy to join them in celebration of his life.
