IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruby Ann
Estrada
July 6, 1964 – July 13, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ruby Ann Estrada, who departed this life on July 13, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on July 6, 1964, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Ruby was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and educator whose impact on those around her will be felt for years to come.
Ruby was the cherished daughter of Sylvia Ann Munoz and the late Joaquin Antonio Saenz. She was preceded in death by her father, her brother, Humberto Raúl Munoz, and her beloved grandparents, Refugio Hernandez Silvas and Maria Barboza Silvas. Ruby is survived by her devoted mother, Sylvia, and her brother, Adam Jose Munoz and family who will carry her memory in their hearts.
A proud alumni of Del Mar College, Ruby pursued her education with an unwavering commitment. She earned her Vocational Nurse Education in August 1985 and her Associate in Applied Science in Registered Nurse Education in May 1990. In March 1991, she proudly became a Registered Nurse, recognized by The Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. Ruby continued her journey of education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Cum Laude) from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in May 2001, followed by a Master of Public Health from Texas A&M University in May 2005. Ruby also received Certificates in 2017 and 2021 for Disability Advocate of the Year, a testament to her dedication to her profession and community.
For over twenty years, Ruby shared her passion for nursing as a Nurse Educator at Del Mar College. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to her students made her a beloved figure in the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by her students, past and present.
Ruby was a vital member of the Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship Church, where her faith and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She was also an active member of the American Nurse Association, demonstrating her commitment not just to her profession, but to her community.
Ruby was known for her vibrant personality and her love for the color pink. She cherished time spent with family and friends, often enjoying trips to the movies, dining out, shopping, and indulging in her favorite Hallmark films. She had a special fondness for Hello Kitty and Disney items, which brought her joy and showcased her playful spirit.
Those who knew Ruby will remember her for her impeccable sense of style; she always took pride in her appearance, radiating confidence and grace. Her loving nature and warm smile endeared her to many, and her absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.
A Visitation will be held on August 7, 2025 at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship from 9am-11:30am and a Funeral Service to honor Ruby's life will begin at 11:30 a.m. The Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 1:30pm. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate her life, sharing cherished memories and stories.
Flowers may be sent to Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship on the day of the service(August 7th). We express our heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Don and the staff at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship Church, as well as the Guardian Funeral Home, for their compassionate support during this difficult time.
