Roy Torres, 58, was called home by Our Lord on April 5, 2017. He was born to Geronimo and Carmen Torres on December 22, 1958 in Wilcox, AZ. Roy was an avid runner, and competed in multiple marathons, winning numerous trophies.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Gonzales Torres; sister, Francis Torres Ridout; and brother, Ralph Torres. He is survived by his father, Geronimo Torres, Sr.; sisters and brother, Maria Carrizales, Diana Martinez (Joe), Larry Torres, Geronimo Torres, Jr. (Nora), Carmen Wells (Stanley), and Fidel Torres (Cindy); numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Fred Jimenez, and David Leal; and many, many others.
Visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
