Obituary

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Rosemary Rodriguez, who went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1964, Rosemary was the beloved daughter of Antonio and Maria Rodriguez, who preceded her in death. She grew up surrounded by the love of her siblings, Viola Solis, Joe Salinas (Lorraine), and Sylvia Cavazos, forming bonds that would last a lifetime. She now rejoins her parents and her siblings Leo Rodriguez, Jesse "Bobo" Rodriguez, and Evangelina Salinas, along with her brothers-in-law Jimmy Solis and Noe Cavazos.

Rosemary's greatest pride and joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother to Heather Ybarbo (Ruben Leal), Jessica Ybarbo (John Quezada), Adam Ybarbo, Stefanie Vela and stepdaughter Jazmin Medellin (Litzy Rojas). She was a loving grandmother to Josslynn, Jaylynn, Damien, Ruben Mathew, and Jake Ryan. Her grandchildren were a constant source of light in her life, and she cherished every moment spent guiding, nurturing, and celebrating them.

Later in life, Rosemary found her soulmate in Juan "Tony" Medellin, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Their bond was one of true partnership, built on trust, full of joy, and enriched by the many memories they created together.

Rosemary had a generous heart that extended beyond her immediate family. She loved her nieces and nephews deeply, always taking time to connect, support, and make them feel valued. Whether through a phone call, a meal, or simply her warm presence, she left a lasting imprint on everyone she touched.

A dedicated healthcare provider for most of her life, Rosemary cared for others with compassion, patience, and devotion. Her kindness and commitment made a difference in countless lives. Outside of her work, she found peace and happiness in her garden, delighting in her plants, crafting and decorating. She brought excitement and joy to those around her as an enthusiastic fan of the Houston Texans.

Rosemary's warmth, sense of humor, and nurturing spirit were the hallmarks of a life lived fully and generously. Her legacy is one of love, service, and joy, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
