Rosanna Trevino
Chavarria
December 29, 1955 – April 5, 2026
Rosanna Trevino Chavarria of Corpus Christi, Texas, was 70 years old when our good lord called her home. Rosanna went by several names: Ma, Mom, Sister, and Nana. April 5, 2026, on Easter Sunday, she took her final breaths in front of her daughter and grandchildren.
Rosanna was born on December 29, 1955, to Ramon Hernandez Trevino and Mary Francis Trevino at Memorial Hospital. She also had one sister and two brothers in the household. Rosanna grew up relatively quickly, helping her mom work and raise her younger sister, who saw Rosanna not only as a sister but also as a mom and best friend. That was the thing about Rosanna, she played much bigger roles than the ones assigned to her. She went above and beyond for her family.
Rosanna was married to the love of her life, Rodolfo Garcia Chavarria, on July 27, 1979. A beautiful marriage that spanned 40 years. Together, they had had two daughters they loved and cherished. Rosanna wanted to give her daughters a better life than she had growing up. She was in the PTA at South Park Middle School and Roy Miller High School, where her daughters attended. Eventually, Rosanna became a grandmother who helped raise her grandchildren as if they were her own children. Rosanna never bore a son, but her grandchildren always referred to her as “Ma or " Mom.
She survived 70 years on this earth loving her mother, father, husband, daughters, grandsons, sister, brothers, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, and grand nephews; Mary Francis Trevino, Ramon Trevino, Rodolfo G. Chavarria, Jessica Villela-Alanis (Jorge Villela- Alanis), Nati Chavarria, Rodolfo Nati Chavarria-Flores, Alejandro Gerard Chavarria-Flores, Maxamiliano Sustaita, Emiliano Nicolas Chavarria, Josefina Trevino Anes, Rogelio Trevino, Raymond Trevino, Gilberto Anes III, Gilberto Anes IV (Alexandria Anes), Jennifer Anes, Corina Lopez (P.J. Lopez), Troy Anes, Emelina Cegura, Isaiah Lopez and Isaac Lopez.
Rosanna was the rock that everyone leaned on for guidance and support. She also had a big heart that God gave her because she needed it for the abundant family she would have. He also knew it was time to relieve her from the health problems and pain she was in. Although Rosanna is in a better place and has been spared from more suffering, her family is without their rock. Her grandchildren were her stepping stone, the reason to keep going. She always made sure they were taken care of, even in her final days. Rosanna was selfless, placing others before herself. You wouldn’t need to ask for a favor; she would have already offered. Rosanna was a special person because she did way more than what was ever asked of her and didn’t expect anything in return. She would always say, “If you’re going to do something, do it right”, a lesson she instilled in her daughters and grandsons. Rosanna’s death has left her family with loss, but they can always find the beautiful memories she left.
