Our beloved mother and grandmother, Rosa Pacheco, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her children, sisters, nieces, and grandchildren. She was 89 years old and lived a long, beautiful life filled with love and devotion to her family. Rosa was the heart and soul of our family, the one who held us together through every season of life with all the love she had.

Her greatest joys in life were the love of her husband, Juan, and the blessing of being a mother to six children, grandmother to 17 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. She also lovingly opened her heart and home as a foster parent for several years to dozens of children, offering care and stability when it was needed most. In addition, Rosa worked in housekeeping at P&S Hospital, where she was known for her work ethic and dedication.

For her family, some of the most cherished memories were made during the holidays. Every year, Christmas at Grandma's was a treasured tradition. She hosted with joy and generosity, often making and serving homemade tamales and delicious Pan de polvo cookies, welcoming extended family and friends, and creating an atmosphere of love, laughter, and togetherness that we all looked forward to year after year. Those moments will live on in our hearts forever.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Pacheco Jr., her parents Manuel and Beatrice Garcia, her son Rudy Pacheco, and her grandson Rocky Gomez. She married Juan on September 10, 1971, and together they built a home grounded in love, laughter, and family.

A public visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Guardian Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of Rosa's life at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 IH-37 North Access Road).

Rosa will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends will live on through the countless lives she touched.
