Ronald Dean Carpenter Sr.

Sandia - Ronald Dean Carpenter Sr. went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 27,2021.

Preceded in death are his Wife Anna Mae Carpenter of 70 years, Daughters: Phyllis Jean Carpenter Hatcher and Lanola Mae Carpenter, Brothers: Gordon, Guy and Curtis Carpenter, Sister Phylis Rae Cornin and parents Edith and Guy Carpenter. Survivors are Siblings:Janie Carpenter (Ron) Kuehn & Joyce Carpenter Herr Children: Kathy Carpenter (Clark) of Sandia, Sons: Ronald Dean Jr, (Janet) Carpenter of Corpus Christi, Thomas "Tommy" Richaard Carpenter of Livingston.

Grandchildren: Shane (Courtney) Clark of Houston, Blayne (Kristen) Hatcher of Rockwall,Tammy Clark of Olympia, Washington, Cara Hatcher(Julio) Baez of Houston, Katie Clark (Michael) Cano of Sandia, Kristi Carpenter (Chris) Hatton of Livingston, Tyler Carpenter of Livingston, Courtney (James) Nelson of Livingston 12 great granddaughters and 6 great grandsons.

Ronald was born on October 24, 1926, While at Port Isabel High school he enlisted into the US Navy at the age of 17. He lived in Port Isabel until 1962, moved to Corpus Christi until 1972, moved to Livingston till 1985, and resided in Sandia ever since. He worked in the refineries in Brownsville, Port Isabel and Corpus Christi after being Honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1946.He delivered propane while in Livingston. In 1988 he became a Bus Driver for Orange Grove ISD and continued driving for 20 yrs for Orange Grove and Mathis.

Graveside services will be on June 18, 2021 at the Sandia Cemetery at 1 pm. with a Celebration of life immediately following at the family home in Sandia.Sympathies may be sent directly to the family at 106 Sammons drive Sandia, TX 78383. The family would like to thank the Del Cielo Hospice Care.
