Ronald Charles "Ron" Fledderman, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away June 14, 2023. Ron was born September 12, 1935 in St. Mary's, PA., the son of Ambrose and Susan Leslie (Adopted Auman) Fledderman, both deceased.
He married Rose Davi on June 14, 1958 in Schenectady, NY.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Evans, her husband Charles and grandson Robert C. Fledderman. He is also survived by his sister Thelma Jean Stanish and her husband Ronald of Hollywood, FL. Also, by many nieces and nephews in St. Mary's PA and Schenectady NY, his caregiver, Jackie Martinez and friends of the family Haley, Reagan, Scottie and his 4 grand dogs, Pepsi, Bambi, Willie & AJ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rose and daughter Linda, 4 brothers, Joseph, George, John and Arthur and 4 sisters, Ethel, Isabelle "Belle" Haberberger, Mary Zelehoski and Grace Stump.
In 1952 Ron enlisted in the US NAVY where he proudly served for 24 years. He served with the Navy Hurricane Hunters (VW-4), VP-7, VQ-4 and VT-23, NAS Kingsville, TX where he retired in June 1976. He also served with the Navy Motion Picture Service, Naval Station Guantanamo, Cuba, Naval Correspondence Course Center and Naval Station Charleston, SC. Ron also retired from Southwestern Motor Transport, Inc. in March 1999.
Ron was a life member of the VFW, Navy CPO Assoc. and the Loyal Order of the MOOSE, Lodge 146. He was also a member of the Am. Legion Post 364, FRA Br. 94, VQ Assoc., PATRON 7 Assoc., Maritime Patrol Assoc., US Naval Institute, H2U, AARP & AMAC.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas. https://guardianfhcremation.com/obituary/ronald-fledderman
