IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rodolfo "Rudy"
V. Ramirez, Sr.
June 12, 1935 – February 17, 2021
On February 17, 2021, Rodolfo "Rudy" V. Ramirez passed away with his wife and children by his side, at the age of 85.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Born on June 12, 1935, Rudy was the youngest of nine children born to Maria de Jesus and Domingo Ramirez in Benavides, Texas.
He lived a full and wonderful life and will be dearly missed.
From 1958 to 1964, Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Army and United States Army Reserve as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division.
He met the love of his life Maria "Linda" Ramirez and they married on March 30, 1967. Together they had three children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren whom Rudy was extremely proud of.
He retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 31 years of service. He was an avid cattle rancher raising black angus and registered brahmas. He was strong in his Catholic faith. He loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, barbequing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, a smooth Crown & Coke, and spending time with family. Rudy was a genuine, kind hearted man who greeted everyone with a warm, sweet smile and a loving hug.
He is survived by his devoted wife Maria "Linda" Ramirez; children: Diana (Glynn) Garcia, Rudy (Precilla) Ramirez, Jr., Mark (Stephanie) Ramirez; grandchildren: Markus Jasso, Robert Alexander Jasso, Isaiah Jasso, Joseph Jasso, Rudy Ramirez, III, Victoria Ramirez, AJ Ramirez, Mark Anthony Ramirez, Jr., Nina Ramirez; great-grandsons: Aiden Ramirez, Rafael Jasso; special niece Debbie Bowen, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for everyone's overwhelming love and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to the dedicated staff of Bay Area Medical Center, especially the ER and ICU units for their unwavering compassion and care to Rudy and our family. We will forever be grateful. Thank you all.
