It is with great sadness that the family of Rodolfo "Rudy" San Miguel announce his untimely passing on Friday, November 17, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX at the age of 66 years old.
Rudy was born on February 13, 1957, in Corpus Christi, TX.
Rudy is survived by his sister, Esther San Miguel Figueroa; two nephews Bobby (Sally) San Miguel and Arnold (Lisa) San Miguel; four nieces Melissa (Richard) Guiterrez, Emmelinda "Emily" Figueroa, Isabel Delgado, Patricia Figueroa and Doris San Miguel (Eugene Villarreal); his sister, Esther Figueroa's grandchildren, Julie-Anna Figueroa, Luis Miguel Munoz and Jesse Ray Munoz; his beloved aunt, Josie "Tia Pepa" (Pedro) Lomas as well as several other great-nephews, great-niece, cousins and life-long friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alejandro C. and Julia G. San Miguel; biological mother Filomena Martinez Perez; his brother, Jose A. San Miguel Jr. and his family dog Augustus "Gus".
He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1976. Rudy worked at Lichtenstein's and Frost Bros. In his younger days he was a member with the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, TX. He was also a member of Gary's Raiders bowling team.
His family, including the family dog, Ivory, and his friends felt his unconditional love. He adored his family and friends and spent as much time with them as possible including gatherings and family trips. His favorite pastimes were bowling, fishing, playing bingo and loteria.
Pallbearers will be Bobby San Miguel, Richard Gutierrez, Arnold San Miguel, Julie-Anna Figueroa, Luis Miguel Munoz and Jesse Ray Munoz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Mendez Sr. and Elesar Jaime Jr.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 , beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home (5922 Crosstown SH 286 CC, TX 78417).

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 , at Holy Family Catholic Church (2509 Nogales St. CC, TX 78416). Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
