Roberto Ortiz, Sr., 74, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Ortiz was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was retired from Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Rafaela Martinez Ortiz, two brothers, Jose Ortiz and Ricardo Ortiz. Roberto was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of forty six years, Teresa Guerrero Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas, one daughter, Leticia (William) Roescher, and two sons, Robert Ortiz, Jr., Jose Antonio Ortiz both of San Antonio, Texas, four grandchildren, William Roescher, Jr., Christian Rodriguez, Andrew Roescher, and Giovanni Ortiz, two sisters, Mary Alice (Louie)Uballe, Flor Estella (Estevan) Orta two brothers, Juan (Laura) Ortiz, Rolando (Lucy) Ortiz, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A". Interment will follow with Millitary honors at the Veterans cemetery 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.
