Robert Earl Walters, 71, passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on May 29, 2016. Bobby was born on April 23, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a young man he worked in Alaska on the pipelines. After returning, he managed the U.S. Post Office at NAS Corpus Christi.
Bobby was a gentle, kind, fun-loving soul who enjoyed nothing more than joking around. He was a friend to all and an enemy to none. In short, Bobby was forgiving.
His pleasure in laughing and being silly is what made him such a delightful son, brother, uncle, husband, father and grandfather. Bobby thrived on social interactions, bingo and a hot meal.
He was preceded in death by his mother Viola Edwards, his infant daughter Victoria and brother Daniel Walters. He is survived by his wife Maria, daughter Jennifer, granddaughter Victoria Marie, brother Douglas (Carol), sister Gloria (the late Ruben), sister-in-law Cynthia and numerous beloved extended family members. Bobby will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi.
