Obituary

Robert Wayne Teltschik, BobbyT to his friends, passed away at 73 years old on December 18, 2025 after a courageous battle with complications following surgery. Bobby was born to Alex and Polly Teltschik on August 18, 1952 at Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. At a young age, his family moved to Robstown, Texas where his mother and father were halfway between where they each worked; father at Halliburton in Alice and mother at a laundry/dry cleaners owned by Alex's sister and husband on S. Staples and Park Streets in Corpus Christi. Bobby graduated from Robstown High School in 1970 with many lifelong friends that still get together once a month. He continued his education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi Texas and then on to Southwest Texas State, San Marcos Texas, earning his BBA in Marketing with Highest Honors. While working his way through college, Bobby worked as a roughneck in the oilfield with his dad, as a grain truck driver for Mr. Frazier, at Whopper Burger all in
Robstown. His first sales experience was selling Kirby vacuums door-to-door in Corpus Christi where the sales bug bit him. He loved throwing a handful of dirt on the carpet to see the reaction he got from "the lady of the house." He also worked at Mr. Gatti's in San Marcus.

Bobby never met a stranger and had the gift of gab which were very beneficial attributes in his professional career as a salesman. He always looked forward to cold calling, walking into an unfamiliar office to introduce himself to see if he could help them with his product. After graduating from college Bobby traveled the Midwest on his "no visible means of support" tour of West Texas, Big Bend Country, Alpine to the Grand Tetons in
Wyoming and everywhere in between in his new pickup truck. When he returned, he began working for The Beecham Group when their worldwide best-selling drug Amoxil was first introduced. At family reunions, he enjoyed telling his aunts, uncles and cousins he "sold drugs" just to see the surprised look on their faces. Bobby was always the jokester and loved telling stories. Bobby was also the #1 US Salesman for Lanier
Business Products where he spent over 15 years selling dictating equipment to doctors, lawyers and bankers. He also worked with Lexis Nexis, Dataplex, VistaCare, and Whataburger among other companies. Then to stay closer to home on a set schedule to take care of his mother he chose to work at Alorica until his retirement. He retired in 2020 during the pandemic and continued caring for his ailing mother 24/7 until her
passing in 2021.

Bobby met his wife through a mutual friend by commenting on Susan's Mazda RX7. Bobby loved cars and could name them all for his father at the young age of four. Susan and Bobby were married on February 14, 1983, so he would never forget his anniversary. This was after giving her the dates of February 14 th , October 31 st and April 1 st to choose from. He loved sports, especially baseball and his favorite team, the
Houston Astros. But most of all he loved and took excellent care of his family. He never missed a school activity or performance while his children were growing up schedulingsales appointments around their activities. And when Paul played guitar at church Bobby was always there for the late service, or when Paul played in the bands Cruise Control and Jake Ward, he attended every local concert bringing their #1 fan, his mother
Polly! After Memaw passed away, Bobby made sure to take care of his daughter Kathryn's every need by washing her clothes, washing her dishes, getting her groceries, sweeping her floors, taking her to dr appointments, the list goes on and on. He was a loving, giving caretaker and father.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Polly Teltschik, his brother James B. Teltschik, his paternal grandparents (Ernest and Ludmilla Teltschik) and maternal grandparents (Maynard and Malinda Andrews). Bobby is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan, his son Paul William, (Grace) of San Antonio, his daughter Kathryn Alexa of Corpus Christi (Cameron Mallen of Burnley England), his sister-in-law Lisa Teltschik of San Antonio, his nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026, at St. Micheal's Cemetery in Weimar, Texas at 11:00am. His childhood friend, John Cranford will be officiating.
