Obituary

Robert "Bob" Leahey, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at Spohn Christus Shoreline hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob was born January 7, 1956 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Ann and Robert Leahey. He grew up all over the world because his father was in the Air Force. He graduated from Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1974 and earned his B.A. in history and criminal justice at the University of Texas Permian Basin before earning a law degree at Creighton University in 1989.

Bob practiced law in Odessa, Texas with his wife Eva-Marie and specialized in criminal defense. He loved going to trial and was never happier than when he was in a courtroom.

After 22 years of practicing law, Bob moved to Hawaii and enjoyed a second career teaching criminal justice on the university level. He had lived in Hawaii as a child and later when he was in the Navy and finally spent 10 years in Hawaii later in life. Hawaii always felt Like home.

Bob is survived by his wife, Eva-Marie of Corpus Christi, son Robert Leahey of Arlington, daughter Lauren Leahey of Benbrook, his grandson Matthew Wilson and his wife Lauren of Benbrook, along with his great grandson James Wilson, granddaughter Brooke Earle of Anchorage, Alaska, along with his mother Ann Leahey, sister Diane Turley and her husband Tim, niece Amy Sawyer and her husband Chad, and niece Kelsey Falstaff and her husband Jeff, all of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

The family would like to express their profound gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Spohn Christus Shoreline for all their care and compassion and taking care of Bob during his final illness.
