Robert E. Gilley, 80, passed away suddenly on September 23, 2018. He was born in Ferriday, LA on November 11, 1937. He was a mail carrier for many years and still continued to work after retirement. He is survived by his daughter Debra Gilley, brother Steve Gilley, niece Phyllis Zapata, grandsons Chris Boutte, Michael and Nathan Antontez, nephew Roy Franklin, brother-in-law Kenny Franklin, son-in-law Michael Groves and many other family members in Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife Alice Gilley, daughter Kathy Groves, and mother-in-law Eleanor Franklin. There will be a memorial service Thursday September 27, 2018 at 3-5pm at Guardian Funeral Home.
