Roberto Garcia passed away suddenly on September 18, 2018 At the age of 53. Roberto was born and raise in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on March 3, 1965 to Israel and Lucia Garcia. He was a graduate of W.B.Ray high school. On June 22, 1991 he married the love of his world Laura (Lori) Galan And had two beautiful children, Jonathan Robert and Brianna Di. They had a fairy-tale family. His family was his greatest love and pride. He experienced and lived his life. He worked hard and sacrificed to make sure he provided for all he could to his family and anyone who crossed his path. Roberto is preceded in death by his father, Israel Garcia and his maternal grandmother Petra Gallegos. He leaves behind his wife, Lori Galan-Garcia, his two children, Jonathan Robert (24) his daughter , Brianna Di (21), and his mother Lucia Garcia. Roberto is also survived by his siblings, brother Israel Garcia (Joann Garcia), sisters Marra Bedia (Marro Bedia), Lucia Sommerdorf (Doug Sommerdorf), Adrianna Lopez, (Carlos Lopez), Christina Zapata (Gilbert Zapata), Lamar Chicoine (Gerry Chicoine), Rosa Thompson (Shane Thompson). He will also be missed by his in-law Joe Galan, Jr. and Divina Munguia Galan, sister-in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) Galan and his nephew, Joseph Matthew Galan. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who he came to love and cherish.
Visitation will be held Monday September 24 at 5pm-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Guardian Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday September 25 at 1130am at Christ The King Catholic Church with the burial to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1pm.
