It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Robert Wayne (Bobby) Davison, who was born on April 3, 1966, and passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby dedicated 25 years of his life in service to the Navy, demonstrating unwavering commitment and bravery. He leaves behind a legacy of honor and valor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Roger Davison and Rosa Romero Davison, his beloved wife Kerie Jo Davison, and his niece Alexa (Alexander) Hendrix Davison. Bobby is survived by his daughter Tyfani Lopez Mendez and his siblings Maria Pineda and her spouse Joaquin Pineda, Donna Davison Hendrix, Linda Davison and her husband Manuel Garcia, and Roger Davison.
Among those who will also deeply feel his absence are nieces and nephews Daisy Davison and her wife Lauren Davison, along with their children Elizabeth, Isabella, & Seth Small and Jackson Mayo; John Davison Romero and his wife Laura Garijo Bermejo, along with their children Chloe Davison Garijo and JohnBoy Davison Garijo; Amanda Pineda and her child Royce Quinones; Natassja Leyba and her child Lilly Leyba-Reynolds; Jason Pineda; Rosita Garcia Davison and her child Brittany King Garcia; and Kevin Saylor.
Bobby will also be missed by many cousins from across the globe, from the US to Spain, who loved him dearly and will deeply miss him.
Bobby was cherished by his family, friends, and neighbors for his kind-hearted nature, generosity, and beautiful soul. His impact on those around him will be felt for years to come, and his presence will be greatly missed.
All Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 , the family will begin gathering at 10:00 a.m. in the Saint Jude Chapel at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church; 3502 Saratoga Blvd ., the Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel; Inurnment with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate, or plant a tree in his memory at the link above.
