Robert Andrew Flores, 24 entered eternal rest on July 11, 2017. Robert Andrew was born July 25, 1992 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Robert and Yolanda Flores.
Growing up he advanced through the ranks of Taekwondo at Choi's Taekwondo Academy winning several medals and trophies. He attended Roy Miller High School where he played football, baseball and met several lifelong friends. He was also an avid fisherman having been featured in Salty Angler Magazine. He enjoyed kayaking and even helped found a local fishing group known as the South Texas Rod Benders.
Above all else, Robert was a family man. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and friend. He was well-known for his loyalty, great sense of humor, and willingness to always help a friend.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marissa and son, Isaiah Andrew, his parents, Robert and Yolanda Flores, a brother Adam Flores (Sarah), three sisters, Ruby Hinojosa (George), Gabrielle Duran (Mark), and Sarah Flores, his maternal grandmother, Maria Duran, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. Robert Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andres Sr. and Herminda Flores, and his maternal grandfather, Gabriel Duran Sr.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by The Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas located at 5922 Crosstown Access Rd. Visitation hours will be held Monday July 17th, from 5-9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. A mass will be held on Tuesday July 18th at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 540 Hiawatha St. in Corpus Christi, Texas, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
